A favorite family funny is a time when Kimmie decided to cut her bangs and not tell anyone. I had gotten up one morning and found that she had gotten up before me. I remember clearly that it was early on a Saturday morning and she was up playing. She was about five at the time. She didn’t say or do anything different, but I distinctly remember thinking that there was something different about her. The day came and went without me ever really putting it together. That night as we readied for bed I was vacuuming the Florida room in our home. In order to vacuum all the way I had to move a heavy mirror that we had leaning up against the wall. As I slid it over I realized that there was something on the ground behind it. Upon a closer look I realized that I had found a few clumps of hair. I thought for a minute and suddenly it was as clear as day! The little thing had cut off her bangs. I called her from her bed and sure enough, I realized that the hair I thought was pulled to the side was actually missing! And, this lovely hairdo is frozen in time because Monday was picture day.
